That was me in 1989 Loma Prieta. Grade school earthquake drills prepared me.
Good point--that is very appropriate behavior. I was thinking in particular of the guy who remained wide eyed and frozen under the desk for a while after it stopped. Then he gathered his things and walked out while class resumed.
