Slackboard users - Do you ever use your ski/hiking poles as a precaution when using the board?
I tried that and it works when using the board on carpet. Not a fan on a hard floor.

My house has a walkway on the upper floor with banisters on both sides because it overlooks a high ceiling foyer and living room. Wider than parallel bars in a PT therapy room, but works pretty well. I rarely need to reach both sides, but can if needed.

I just ordered one (a double). I'll use it at my standing desk in the office for the time being.

That's a useful thing to do every day. I also put my shoes on while standing (holding the shoes, not slipping them on while on the floor). It is a banner day when I'm wearing lace-up shoes and tie them while standing on one leg. I find that focusing on my center/core balance point helps sustain balance for quite a long time.

The G-Board sells a pole for it, but as I have ski poles I tried it with one and felt it either made it too easy when I left it lightly on the ground and too much of an obstacle which threw off my balance if I lifted it up, so wasn’t helpful for me personally.

Loving my Gibbon slackboard. I'm at my standing desk in my office and am using it to bounce, balance and do modified squats. I got the double which can be converted to a single if desired. Very cool toy.

I discovered something interesting, if a touch obvious, with the Giboard. I mentioned I was finding consistency difficult, so I started trying to figure out why I was inconsistent. I find that I do much better holding my balance when I haven’t already had a physically challenging activity that day (like a bike ride or a run), but what is a bit weird is that I can’t say that I feel physically tired on days when I’m off and can’t seem to catch my balance. I feel the same as usual, but it appears all those little muscles are fatigued and can’t hold form. This seems a bit of a cautionary tale for my skiing. Maybe I don’t do that “last run” after a challenging day even if I feel ok.

Great observation, really useful. I've noticed this too. Agree that it's a good thing to note for skiing.

And a great thing for me to remember as I rehab my new knee. I recently got very sore when I combined PT with a short walk. I won't do that again.
