Some stats - 61, 5'5" 145lb advanced level skier currently skiing on 2011 Kenja's 156 with new boots last year. I have really enjoyed my Kenja's all these years but my binding are acting up and I'm taking that as a sign to refresh the bindings and probably good to put them on news skies.

Spent all of '21-'23 dealing with breast cancer, lots of chemo, surgery, radiation, targeted treatment - all the things. As a result, I have some neuropathy in my feet and hands from the chemo, my balance and strength have suffered a bit and found that I have osteopenia.

I'm looking for a one ski quiver to use in Colorado. I see the Kenja is now the Secret 88, but doubtful it's the same ski with over a decade of iterations so not really looking there. I still like to ski on the faster side, but dialing back a little due to the conditions noted above. Want a ski that is snappy and good on groomers, a littler easier than the Kenya's in moguls (though I don't ski these all that much anymore) and can handle some crud and 3-6" of powder.

Where do I start? I've looked at reviews, Santa Ana 92 seem interesting as do the Black Pearls 94's. A friend who I ski with regularly picked up the Maven 93's and really like them. We are similar skiers, but I like to go a tad bit faster and perhaps push a little more. Additionally, I'm very happy with the current 156 length of my the Kenja, moving to a rocker style I assume I need to add a little length? Appreciate your thoughts.

You can also look into the Armada Reliance. There is an 82Ti and 92Ti. I have the 82Ti. I love them. Great edge hold but I find them better in moguls than the Kenjas I demoed back in 2022.

Thanks - also just looked at a couple reviews of the Volkl Blaze from SkiEssentials - interesting comments about it being an all mountain ski.

I just demoed the Volkl Mantra 84 and loved it! It is nimble and quick and skied great in spring corn on ungroomed and in trees. Being a Volkl, it will shine on groomers. If I didn’t have my Fischer Ranger 84s, I would being planning on buying a pair. I agree with what @ski diva said in another thread. The Mantra 84 is more versatile than the Fischer. It is a completely different ski from the Kenja which is now the Mantra 88.

Great info, thank you! There are some great sales going on right now. Puled the trigger on the Blaze and Salomon Strive 12 binding. I needed some skies as the bindings on my '11 Kenja's are acting up. Wanted something to play on next season while I take the time to demo. At 40% off, even if I don't love the Blaze as I do the Kenja, it won't feel like a huge waste.
