Bluebird Backcountry

I just came across this article about a start up in Colorado. They're a backcountry resort of sorts, offering what is intended to be safe and supervised access to backcountry skiing, touring, and splitboarding. Has anybody heard of this before, or even done it? This has definitely piqued my curiosity.

What a great idea, I'd love the chance to build up some skills for backcountry in a controlled environment. Just to be able to spend a couple of days doing laps by myself without worrying about avalanches or holding anyone else up would be lovely...

I saw something similar for sled skiing, will see if I can find the link.

They do bacon at golf outings around here, too, which I find just hysterical.

This looks great! On the east coast, Bolton Valley has a program that I’m really excited to take advantage of next season. Bolton has been amazing about fostering the growth of backcountry and sidecountry skiing in northern VT.
