If you do get a chance to try the Absolute Joy and like it, keep in mind that they changed something up about the construction between this year's model and previous years' and I have been told that they ski differently.

Take a run for me!

Update after a full weekend skiing on my new skis - love em! I feel equally fine pointing them down windswept icy red runs and expecting them to turn (they do), and negotiating afternoon slushy uneven blue runs where I end up surfing over quite a few of the bumps and lumps. I spent a lot of Saturday working on drills I've been given before and then took a 2hr private lesson on Sunday morning (with an instructor I've had before, who is great). My instructor noted that I was markedly improved which was awesome - I know that's because of my working on ski drills and skills, but I'm just happy that I had such a smooth transition to new skis while still improving my skills, and feeling a lot more confident on runs that previously gave me some grief
