Help Needed: Bindings, Bindings, Bindings!?!?

Oh my...so I am head over heals for the K2 Burnin' Luvs! But, I know pretty close to nothing about bindings. I have two local vendors who can get me on a new pair before this weekend. One shop is coming in $100 less...and it has everything to do with bindings.

One reccomends the Solomon binding - I think he said V10. He said the Marker System is too heavy and they prefer to sell the ski flat and this is a good binding for the ski. The other is saying the Marker System M11, which is already mounted. They say this binding is good for the type of ski (carving) that Burnin' Luv is.

What is the difference and what is my best option? I don't mind going $100 more with the marker system if it is my best bet over the V10. I just want to be on these skis this weekend with the best possible binding!

I need some help please :ski2:

I have Salomon axe Z10 ti's on my K2 BL's. Very light. I found the Marker's to be heavy too.

The ski shop telling you to buy flat is NOT steering you wrong. The Marker system bindings are not only heavy, but they have a tendency to loosen over time, and there is virtually nothing you can do about it (except hope K2 will warranty them for you). Go flat with the Salomons (or even a non-system Marker binding, although that would be heavier than the Salomon...but still lighter than the Marker system binding). My $.02.

I have the BLs with the integrated Markers & they are so heavy! Go with the lighter ones definitely.

Same opinion. Go with the flat. I can't stand binding integration, I bought some skis with integrated Markers, and they didn't stand up to my style of skiing.
