As most of you know, Hart Ski was holding Hartfest 2008 at Abasin the same weekend as the SkiDiva Get Together.

I'm sure that most who tested the Hart Skis as well as those Divas who had the privelage of skiing and dining with the Hart Guys, will agree with me that they are eager to listen to us and answer to our Harts Content ;)

On Sunday evening, during apres' ski, several SkiDivas had a great dinner with Chris and Phil from Hart. As if, listening to our ideas wasn't enough, they surprised us with a drawing for two pair of skis.

The Lucky Winners were Intheclouds and cwmscm!!!!
Pics of Skis will follow!

Congrats to the lucky winners!
Thanks heaps to Hart for listening and rewarding!!!

That is sooooooo cool! Congratulations InTheClouds and cwmscm! And thanks to Hart for being so generous!

As many of you know, Hart is an old ski company who's making a comeback. They've been re-engineering and re-imagining a lot of their products. It's nice to see them take an interest in what we have to say, as they go through this process. Hart was there to get input from us during Diva Week at Solitude, and it's great to see it continue.

My DH and I were asked to demo Hart skis on Valentine's Day at Sugarbush this year. A friend of the Hart rep was asking couples to participate. I had to cut my day, so I did not take the time to try any skis. Hopefully the rep will come back next season.

It just so happens that the Northeast rep that you saw at Sugarbush is one of the reps helping with the Abasin weekend, and also a friend of SkiDiva. I'm sure you'll see him again. When you do, you NEED to try his skis.
I will guarantee they will make you :becky: and

Hart truly was amazing this weekend. They treated us Divas like queens. :D

I believe the skis that were raffled were the Lady Harts carvers. 66mm waist, IIRC?

The Hart skis are well worth a look. I demo'd the lady version of the Scarab on Sunday, this is the powder ski. I'm sorry I don't have time to do a proper gear report just now, but I will tell you that I handed over my cash as I handed back the skis and I'm waiting for them eagerly to arrive in the post. UPDATE - they just arrived in my office :yahoo::yahoo:

The Hart guys understand that women want some cool graphics too and they're coming up with great ideas, and Michele Roark is designing for them. She showed us some new ideas, one is tiger print. Now for this ski I'd consider becoming a Cougar.... I had noticed that all ladies on the East Coast of a certain age (I'm entering the zone) wear animal print of some sort for a big night out, I'm not a fan - or wasn't until I found out you could have it on your skis! There are also some really pretty ones, I have flowers on mine - it's got to be the first time I've ever worn anything with flowers on .... and I'm going to love it.

So the skis, it was the day after the fresh powder, I skied them on groomers, bumps and crud, they are light and responsive on all terrain, very easy to turn. I skied a 168 when I'm normally on a 152 Elan Black Pearl, no problems handling it, and it added stability. Loved it, and the prices are hugely competitive. The deal was too good to miss. I won't be skiing them til next season (got my dive gear packed and ready to go), and I'll do a real gear review then.

Per Phil, they are the "Lady Hart". It is the woman's version of the Phoenix model that Bob Barnes was gaga over. This years version will have the "Diva inspired" graphics that were part of the Solitude focus group. The dimensions are 116/66/101. Pictures I am, told are upcoming.

Lilabear, these sound terrific! And skis with tiger print graphics -- something I could really get behind! Grrrrrrrowl!

BTW, I'm East Coast of a certain age, and not a single animal print in my closet. What gives??? :noidea:

You have to understand she used to live on the gold coast of Connecticut. Where she was, that was an accurate description. :D

Greenwich doncha' know.... One night I accidently found myself in a bar which had singles night for the over forties. Most people were well over, but to my amazement every single woman ('cept me and a friend) had some form of animal print about their person. It appeared to be "de rigeur" for the Cougars.

I was struggling to find a form of animal print that I would feel appropriate in, and then the problem was solved ...... it looks darn good on skis!!!

I wonder if they would consider a line, Zebra and Giraffe would also look cool, as would Dalmation and Panther.

I bought a leopard print vest a few years ago, kind of a hoot with some girlfriends. I ended up actually liking the vest!
But I digress........
The dalmation print would go well with Volklgirls jacket!

I ALMOST bought the purple pair before LilaBear saw them. ALMOST.

But seeing as I can't afford another pair of skis right now, it's a good thing she decided on the final pair in the size I wanted.

THANK YOU HART !

I am eagerly awaiting arrival of the Lady Hart carving skis. I have to say a big huge thank you to Hart & Phil for these. The story goes (yes, there seems to always be a story....) :

Divas & some Bears having dinner with the Hart folks on Mother's day in Colorado. My 10 yr old son is with us as well. Phil the Hart rep has my son draw the winning numbers. On the second draw , my son is absolutely delighted to pull the number that turns out to be the one I have. As he says, "I didn't know what your number was mom, so I didn't cheat ! " Since I had packed his stuff in my suitcase & used his flight ticket for the ski's & bootbag allowance, he did not get to pack a Mother's day present to give me on Mother's day. So, guess what ? Happy Mother's day mom, I got you some new ski's ! :ski2::ski::ski::jumphappy:

Skiing together next year on those skis will be a permanent reminder of this trip. Nice Mother's day present kiddo !
