Have you found any great deals on equipment this year? Care to make us drool?

Post it here.

I bought a Northface fleece for 50% off, which isn't very exciting, but I thought was pretty good.

I got a Columbia soft shell for $ 35.00 Cdn, regular $ 150.00. Pro-shop deal. Had to sit through 2 hours of how to sell Columbia clothes, but that was worth it for that shell. Only came in two colours, but black goes with everything right!!

I got my new Arc'teryx jacket for 40% off. I didn't need a new jacket but saw it and LOVED the color. Then I had a friend tell me they could get it for me at 40% off... and apparently I DID need a new jacket! ;) I love it:

And my new iM88s were $415 shipped. So that wasn't too bad either. I think I could have done a little better, but once I tried them I was too impatient to ski them to really hunt for a great deal.

I thought I posted in this thread earlier but I guess not.

My best deal of the season is tough to narrow down because I got so many great deals.

I'd have to say the best deal of all was the Teledaddy's $159.00

I have a few other things that rank up there but not quite the savings of those.

Hrm... well my husband likes to call me the bargain queen for a reason... so this year, I guess my best deals would be 50% offs:

EMS jacket - I needed a new everyday jacket and this one can double for skiing if it gets cold enough - one of those 3-in-1 deals I got for $99, normally $200. This apparently is the same jacket as North Face retails for $300 - I saw it in REI the same day.

And well my Attiva AC3's for 50% off. I didn't *need* these but couldn't resist at that price since I'd been craving something wider waisted.

Found the husband some Volkl 724 EXS for $160 as well.

However I still think my best deal ever is my current ski jacket - North Face shell, retails for $200, I picked up at REI superclearance for $50 2 years ago. I love it and well 75% off on North Face you just have to love in and of itself.

Deal-hunting-divas,

I don't know how it is at the Sports Authorities in other areas, but if you're looking for good deals on ski clothes, check if this sale's going on near you. The one I went to yesterday in Chicago had some great deals on winterwear. 40 percent off the lowest ticketed price, and lots of the ticketed prices are 50-80 percent off the original prices. North Face revolution ski pants were ticketed down to 50 bucks, and then 40 percent off of that, etc.

There are a bunch of them in Chicago, I'm gonna go hunt around

My husband actually bought a new DNA ski outfit at Christy Sports in Steamboat. The jackets were 30-40% off and then the matching pants were 50% off. Can Ii burn his old Goretex North Face jacket now?

Oh man, after reading this thread and seeing the handfull of <$300 skis, I am starting to get buyer's remorse on the pair I just bought off eBay....

I'm a fan of ebay and evogear in particular, and bought both DH and myself used demo skis from evogear. Last year I bought a pair of Volkl Gamma 724 EXS skis with bindings for $125 for myself, and this year I bought him a pair of Dynastar Legend 8000 with bindings for $235. I know we really should demo demo demo, but with two small children neither of us have much time to demo, and I figured that both deals were good enough that we could resell them if necessary. Mine were cheap enough that I don't feel bad using them on rocky days, and I figure eventually I can get a second pair of skis if I start skiing much off the groomed stuff. DH is the sort of person that can not ski for several years and then ski right down ungroomed black diamonds with ease, and he seems happy enough with his Dynstars, but then again, he's not picky.

My final purchase of the season was a set of Roxy polka dot skis with bindings for $106 from Porters in Tahoe for our 4 year old daughter. I also bought her a pair of new Salomon two buckle boots from ebay for $25, and she is all set. She took a few lessons last year and this year, and can now ski down greens and easier blues with us. Now if I can only wean her off the edgie-wedgies, they are like a security blanket for her.

Num is correct...there are some serious deals at Sports Authority. I just bought a pair of Rossignol Sprayer BC's for $149! It was the deal of the century.

I have found that if you know what you are looking for, Sports Authority is a great place to look.

I just ordered a pair of Fischer Rangi's from skiersoutlet.com for $249.99. They had the 05-06 graphics.

I grabbed Atomic Divas for $200. (they are available, as I just fell more in love with the Sugar Mamas, but the Divas ski great).

Got my Fischer Vision 73's for 50% off at an end of season sale. And grabbed a pair of new Queen Attivas from someone at Epic for $250. Essentially, I got two pairs of skis for the price of one! Gotta love end of season sales!

I just got a pair of new Marker ski pants on ebay, marked down from $195 to $21. Woohoo! I have been wanting a pair of these pants since last year and they fit pretty well.

Wow!

This might not count as this year, but last summer I bought some Salomon Gore-Tex pants for $70 (retail $269, I think). I had my eye on them the previous season, due to their color, which I call Vail-sky-blue. (If you've ever been in the back bowls on a bluebird day, you know what I'm talking about. Somehow the ski always seems to be a deeper blue there.)

Super Shoppers!
Well, my great buy was last spring when I got my Lange CRL 90 boots for 99 cents on Ebay. Yes, they were new in the box. My husband just snagged 2006 Nordica Dobermann GS XB skis for $223.50 on Ebay. I figure we saved so much I can treat myself to an upgraded boot next season! It is difficult to get deals in the stores now because they have all turned over to bikes, golf, lawn furniture etc.
