While we are just entering fall, I've just come back from winter . . in Australia.
No, I didn't ski but winter in northern/central east coast of Australia is definitely less severe than in New England.

Thanks, I went to Sydney, the Port Douglas area and Brisbane. I only had 9 days actually over there for sight seeing so had to limit myself to those 3 areas. If I had more time I would have liked to have added Melbourne and Uluru too. I'll have to go back--and of course I didn't get to see everything I would have liked to in the places I went as well.
Fo me, Brisbane was the biggest surprise. It was simply a beautiful city with a surprise around every corner. I didn't really have any particular expectations for it, but it was simply lovely.
