Ski Diva Extraordinaire
tomorrow is the demo day i've been waiting for. and i'm ready to start a quiver.
my instructor described me this week (unsolicited and out of the blue) as an early level seven skier (but bound to improve given how much i ski). i'm 5'7", 143 pounds, skiing a nordica victory in 154.
I know i want something with quick snappy turns and something that will be much faster (so, two skis). i called the shop and they know that next year's lines of k2s, solomons, and attivas will be there. he also thinks the nordica rep will be bringing up his line. but i want to be ... sufficiently educated when they come. i've been reading the various reviews you all so eloquently write, and i know these guys coming up are not as committed to women's skis as you are. on the phone, the guy bringing up the demos at first said he wasn't sure he was bringing up fuego, that tierra and niebla would do -- that those were top end skis.
which of you had that great experience where the rep ending up talking to someone in the lodge about the woman seemed to know more than he did?
so, what should i ski tomorrow and what should i look out for if i'm looking for one ski to tr to keep up w/ my racing buddy and one w/ short snappy turns and bounce.
oh (on an entirely different note but w/ a nod of gratitude), as a result of our discussions on our board, i knew what to ask for to get my boots to fit.
