OK, Divas, I got it down to those two. I can get them for comparable excellent prices and I think they will do it for me. Sorry to take up so much bandwidth with this decision. This is it-- if anyone has tried both skis let me know. Otherwise, I will report back after my trip!
Thanks!!

Oops! Meant AC2

Moot, now though, because I finally ordered skis! The Fischer Vision 73's are on the way! Thanks a lot for helping me think out loud and for sharing your ski experiences! I will share mine back when I try them out this weekend.

I demoed the Fischer Vision 73s yesterday, and I don't think you'll be sorry. What a fun ski! Can't wait to hear how you like them!

I read your review-- perfectly timed with my purchase! Definitely made me feel great about my choice. I can't wait to try them in Gore this weekend. I know you are an Eastern skier-- did any of the conditions you skied with the v73 in Steamboat give you an idea of how they would do out here?

Actually, yes. There were some spots -- in the shade, where the sun hadn't hit -- that actually had a little hard pack and death cookies. Not much, but some. And it performed beautifully in that, as well.

Post back and let us know how it goes.
