Atomic's 08/09 line...sneak peek?

Not sure if you all have seen this yet, but I just found this site showcasing next year's Atomic line. What do you think?

I'm not crazy about the graphics...maybe they will grow on me. But we all know that graphics are sooo not what sells a ski, right?

Cool, that's my ski shop - it's 6 mi from my house, and we know the owners. GREAT sale going on there right now. I'm trying to avoid.....they are moving across the street, so the deals are even better this year.

That's the line up I saw at Tremblant show. The Raisin'Hell was the B5, Seventh Heaven was the Sugar Mama, and Heaven's Gate was the Foxy mama. Cloud is a new version of the Minx line. They made some changes. I don't think I'd need that store, that close to me. I'd have to work there, because I'd spend way over my ski budget!!

They got any Marker Free/Jester bindings for my Auras? I say M14 free on their site, but perhaps they've got other stuff. Don't worry, I don't expect you to go over there to check - you might end up breaking the bank :-) I can call.

That shop would be WAY too dangerous for me if I lived there! I would definitely have to work there to pay for my habit!

At the demo I was at, not too many people liked those skis. One guy actually thought they were dangerous. I think that might be a little over the top, but not too many people were impressed was the overall impression. I only tried the women's stuff.

Been there... eh.

I have a few friends that are in charge of merchandise at local mountains(in Maine); had the opportunity on leap day this winter to demo the new Atomics and ski with an Atomic rep at Shawnee Peak in Maine.

Couldn't have asked for a better day, it was a warm, sunny and after one of the big snow drops we got this winter.

I tried the Seventh Heaven in a 158.... it was quick and fun but not as versatile as I'd want to buy it.

I also demoed the new Nomad Crimson, a GREAT ski but not for the New England woods, at least not for me. Way too heavy for me, took it in the trees and struggled a lot.

The winner of the day was the new Snoop Daddy: great on groomers, in crud and in the woods. My boyfriend's waiting for them to be available to the masses to snatch up a pair.

Overall a very fun day. I LOVE trying out new gear.
