Atomic SL:9 jr.

When we leased our equipment I told the guy at the shop that we were beginners. I just realized that my son's skis are the Atomic SL:9. I knew about the brand but did not pay attention to the SL:9 part.
At the time I knew nothing about skis. Does it mean that they are race skis? If so how is that influencing his skiing? Is it a problem if he is an advanced beginner?

This ski is not this years, so I'm going to have to go digging for you. Alot of junior ski say "race" and look like the adult version for marketing reasons. "My skis are just like daddies!!" And being a junior ski it is still not as stiff as your ski for example. So, I'll need to check with my buddy at the ski shop to see exactly what this ski is.

From the little bit that I've seen so far on the net, its a race ski, but not a full blown race ski. Their beginner ski does say race on it. This years is Race 7.

The thing about this ski is the wood core. Last forever!
