Atomic Skis

I may be getting a free pair of Atomic skis this season. I've looked at the women's Atomic skis and don't see anything with a wide enough waist. I am looking for a powder ski from 88-98, that will also carve decently on hardpack and packed powder. I may not get a chance to demo before needing to choose a ski, so any suggestions would be very helpful.

Heaven n' Hell is 99mm. 7th Heaven in 79mm. Nothing inbetween. Heaven n'Hell is their off-piste ski for women this year. Check out the SkiPress website for their review on this puppy.

Thanks, I'll check out Heaven n Hell. But I'm open to skis that are not specifically for women as well, and looking for advice on skis such as Snoop Daddies.

My husband has the Snoop Daddies from a few years ago, and absolutely loves them! He says they're great on everything, from hard pack to powder. They've gotten great reviews everywhere, too, so I guess he's not the only one who thinks so.

As for a woman's powder ski, a good number of Divas have and love the Volkl Auras. They've gotten raves not only for powder, but for a wide variety of conditions, as well. I've tried the new Volkl Auroras, and was really blown away. With an 85 waist it's not as wide as the Auras, but a great ski for a wide range of conditions. Smooth, stable, and really able to hold an edge.

Can you tell us more about how you ski and what you're after? That might help us help you narrow it down.

I've a friend on the Snoop Daddy's and he loves them. We ski Tremblant, so no powder, just groomed stuff usually.

I know a woman who skis the 07/08 Snoops and loves them here in the NE and out west. The 09 has been completely reconstructed including fatter waist dimensions. 88 to 94, now w/ an upturned tail. If they came short enough I would have demo'd them in a heartbeat based on all the great reviews I've seen. My last 2 skis have been Atomics and I love their lightness and edge grip.

I've read a lot of good reviews of the Nomad Crimsons, I've never tried them but all the reviews I've read said they were good on and off piste, its definately a ski I want to try this year.
