Atomic Balanze 9.7 vs Izor 9.7

Non-aggressive, likes to make nice round turns on east-coast terrain up through easy blacks. Don't do bumps at all. Frustrated that no one stocks demos in woman's skis in longer lengths. Some issues with arthritis and tendonitis requires limiting stress.

Recently demoed at Sugarloaf in pp, a bit of pow, and just a touch of scratch...

Atomic Metron M-11 164cm -- Hated it!!! Toooo heavy.
Atomic Izor 7.5 168cm -- Liked it
Atomic Izor 9.7 168cm -- Liked it (even a tad more than the 7.5)

Thinking I'd like a woman's ski as I'd like something lighter. Can't find the Balanze 9.7 to demo in 168cm. But thinking maybe should bu it based on demo of Izor 9.7. Wondering if anyone has experience with both the Balanze 9.7 and the Izor 9.7 and can post a comparison?

Current ski -- Atomic r8.20 -- not enough ski. Four seasons old, feels too insecure now.

Prior demos at Wachusett in reasonably forgiving packed powder--

Nordica GranSport 14 170cm -- Liked that it was stable and pulled into the turn.

K2 Apache Stryker 168cm -- Hated it. Tooooo heavy.

Head Hot Thrang 163cm -- only women's ski even close to my length. Like that is was quick turning, liked that I could ski it in the fall line. Wish I could demo this in a few other women's skis in 168-170cm but none to be found.

I live in Atomic town, so I'll try a response. I tried the Balaze 9.7 last year (but 2007 ski). I'm short 5'5 and lighter 160, so 160cm. I found that it liked long turns, but it was not a soft ski. Since I like shorter turns, it wasn't the ski for me. The Izor is the men's version. With your height and weight you might want to stick to unisex. I'm not sure, but I think the Izor is gone for next year 2008. Atomic wasn't at the NSIA demo day. I can check with the sales rep tomorrow. (the atomic and salomon warehouse is in the town I live in - aka Atomic town!!)
