Or at least it's in the forecast.

And I'm stuck in PA. Had to leave VT because of family obligations and for my husband to be interviewed on NPR, and now he's too beat from his book tour to head back north. :(

Anyone in the northeast going to take advantage of the snow? They say there might be up to a foot!

Tremblant talking about the same - I'm heading up tomorrow if I can get there. Got a Ski Diva bra to donate!!

We are going to get snow here too. I am sad to say that our skiing is over, all the ski areas have closed. Mr. Skigirl has a 3 day weekend too and we can't start riding or doing trail work yet and with no skiing it will be a very long weekend!!!

It is snowing, and even more up North. I informed my husband we have a powder date Friday, since most of the week-end is tied up with family stuff.....figures, I took my snow tires and ski racks off last week. Not that I didn't think it would snow again, this is the Northeast after-all!

I'm betting on Bretton Woods for Friday

I knew it wasn't over yet! Worried about high winds on Friday, but I'm crossing my fingers. Looking out into my woods (NH) everything is covered in a thick layer of beautiful snow. It's gorgeous.

Almost makes me sad that we're going to Colorado Friday night-Weds night... ALMOST. Hee hee. ;)

Good luck with your trip to CO.

2 weeks ago I was at the airport when the last storm hit the NE. I got stuck. I felt really irritated. I could have just ski at home. Why am I going away?

Well, it was a good trip despite the delay...

Hey abc,

My sympathies - but at least you got there!

My flight to Steamboat Saturday morning, 03/17, was cancelled due to that same NE ice/snow storm Friday; fortunately(?) I got the message in time to stay home. UNfortunately it was three days before I could get through to the airline and then they couldn't get me to Steamboat until Wednesday. Since I was supposed to come back the next Saturday anyway, I never went. Worst part? My guy had flown out earlier, so he was "stuck" in Steamboat alone for our 11th annual CO ski trip - and the only long vacation we take each year. Now I'm working on getting refunds...

Can't go north or west this weekend because the whole family is coming to my house for Easter - drat!

Cruise some runs for me, ladies!!!

It's a cruel, cruel joke!!!

All the ski areas here closed last week or before.

Last week we had 60 degree temps and were biking.

Today I wake up and there's a 2 foot drift on the hood of my van!!! We're expecting another 3-6" today too.

6" and counting at Tremblant. No snow in my back yard here, but north of us its snowing. I'll be heading up this afternoon. So for you ladies that can't ski this weekend, I do some turns. And I'm by myself for this weekend, Hubby has to work!!

Well I'm really hoping to get out on Tuesday. I know the snow won't be fresh, but it should still be deep and fun. I'm in STL this weekend - otherwise I would be skiing - so I can't be skiing now, but I think I can ditch work on tuesday. That is assuming I can convince my friend to go. I'm reaalllly hoping I can. It will be my bday present to myself (a week late but close enough!). Actually my real bday present was my AC3s... so maybe if she agrees to ski I'll bring those with to play on...

I'm gonna be one bummed puppy if I can't go on Tuesday... I've been looking forward to it for over a week. The hubby is going to a baseball game so I can't drag him along and I'mnot really up to a 4 hr drive alone if my friend can't go... :(

After all my complaining (i.e. whining), I may get out this coming week for a day or two! So maybe my season isn't over yet!

I'm so sorry to hear that, SnowDancer. It's NOT FAIR!

Actually, a co-worker of mine was also at the airport for a flight to Cancun that got cancelled. He ended up with the same headache as yours. And he can't get a refund because he went, 3 days later.

I was pretty determined. Fearing the flights of subsequent days will be over-subscribed because the massive delays, I stayed on the phone for an hour total (half an hour each time). First to re-book for another flight that MAY still go. Then re-book again for another flight the next day. But I was planning to stay on the line no matter how long it would had taken.

(After all, I had nothing else to do anyway. I was supposed to be on the plane at that time! So stay on the phone for an hour didn't feel such a waste of time. What else would I be doing? Work? My vacation had already started...)

And once re-booked, I logged into the airline's website to confirm it's indeed showing the updated flight (asking for a seat helps a lot), and printed it out.

At the airport, they made a fuss about the multiple re-book. But I had the printout of the latest booking. And they relented. My co-worker? He didn't re-confirmed. They told him they couldn't find the record of his re-book. And he's off to the back of the waiting list, 2 days later.

Yes, I've been lucky. The flight I was on probably wasn't as busy as the others. So I lucked out. But I did do my part the best I know how, to be sure I was on the next available plane.

I'm the perpectual optimist. I was the one who keep telling everyone around me that I'll be skiing till mid-April! ;)

It turns out I decided not ski again this season, because I really should let those minor injuries get a chance to heal better rather than risking to re-injured them to make it too much worst. But it wasn't for lack of snow. I knew, I just knew, the snow will come. They just came late. And belately, they just kept on coming!!!

I must say all these snow fall is tempting me. It's easy to say quit when the snow was about gone. Much harder to give up when there are still feet and feet of them coming down! I may just change my mind next week, especially my knee is starting to feel "normal" again...

Well I'm now bummed. My season is officially over. My female friend is unwilling/unable to go ski with me tomorrow :( I guess I can now only hope for an early winter, or at least an on-time winter for next season.

Yep, it's been snowing in New England for the last few days, so hubby & I headed up to Killington last evening & skied today. Unfortunately, I am so ill I could only handle 4 runs, and sat huffing, puffing, and hacking on the lift, but he stayed out another 5 hours & hasn't quit grinning yet! Poor guy, now he says he's sooooo tired. If I could muster the energy I'd flip him the bird.
