Anyone watch Vacation Swap last night (ski related).

So instead of Wife Swap, ABC did a Vacation Swap. It was on last night. A very rich family vacationed in Aspen with a more middle-class family - to show them how they vacationed.

Well - I was very upset, to say the least. This Aspen family gave the other family about 2 days of lessons at Snowmass. Then - they chartered a heli-skiing trip with the kids only. (The rich kids who knew how to ski and the other kids with only 2 days on skis.)

Who allows that?? Who DOES that?? You don't take people on heli skiing tours who have only had 2 days on the slopes. It was awful. Not to mention - a complete lie. Aspen does not DO heli trips.

Anyway - I don't know. I was totally PO'd when I watched the poor girl trying to ski powder after only a day or so on the bunny slope.

I didn't watch it,(don't watch much tv), but I heard about it.
Did they seriously take Green skiers on a heli day? Thats nuts!
Maybe I could fake being a newbee and get to do that trip!!!

Anyway, I would just imagine this is another show at the same level of the "Survivor". Nothing to do with reality, that is. BTW, where does the "reality show" name come from?

Well, I assume they'll have to do the second part of the show, which is rich families goes on vacation the middle class way? Wait until they can crammed into a Motel 6! :D

I agree that the whole thing is stupid....

but you really can't go heli skiing from Aspen??? I find that really hard to believe with the clientele there.

Not that it matters - still a dumb idea for TV. Though I wouldn't doubt that heli ski operations run into a lot of rich clients who can't really ski but want to go heli-skiing. Not that it's a good idea by any means, but I'm sure they TV experiment wasn't the first time it's happened....

I don't remember seeing that one on our TV listings here in Canada. But then last night was hockey!! Reality TV is not really on my radar. Survivor, Dancing with the Stars, Big Brother, is just not something I'm interested in. Give me a good movie! I need a break from reality!
