Anyone tried Dynastar Trouble Maker?

On recommendation of other divas to look at park skis as candidates for all-mountain bump-friendly skis, I've been on the look out for twin tips with the spec I seek. Aside from the "usual" girls skis, I also look at the few unisex ski that came in length short enough for my weight. Dynastar Trouble Maker came up as one of such.

Trouble is (punt intended), it's not that easy to find twin tips for demo, especially on the short end (punt again).;) That's NOT counting the fact the season is over in the northeast, after all.

So, I wonder if any diva has tried the Trouble Maker. Any feedback, good or bad?

I'm just going to take a plung of some sort. Park skis are generally not that expensive. (but why? I wonder) So the experiment won't be too painful even if it doesn't work out.

Haven't tried the TMs but have skied the junior versions, the Troubled Youth. Did a ski swap with a mate for a day and she took my missdemeanors. The TYs were tasty, but a bit soft for me (I am a bit heavy). Liked the extra width on my missies as well - felt it gave them a bit more versatility. Still, might be worth looking at some of the kids' skis, there are quite a few twin tips available and if you are light, they might work. Pop over to France, I'll see you there and you can test ride my missies and the TYs!!!

So your poping over to France is a bit like my dashing up north to Vermont, then.

So I gather you found the Trouble Youth softer than your Miss. I wonder how the Trouble Maker compare to the Miss? Maybe a bit stiffer (it's a "guy" ski after all) or about the same?

BTW, how did you size your Miss? Is it about the same length as your other (non-twin tip?) skis? Or did you have them longer to account for the turned-up tips? How do they ski feel length-wise?

Got a 159, tried them and liked the length. Use Volkl S5 titaniums as my piste skis, they are a 161, but look the same length as my missies. So, area of missies that touches the snow is probably shorter because of twin tips. Could have comfortably have gone longer on missies (tried a mate's in the 164 and they were fine). Prob would go for that if they were going to be my only ski. Ski the Aura off piste in a 170. Advice would probably be to go a bit longer than normal, because of twin tip, if you want them for all mountain, but there isn't that much in it. Hope this helps, but not sure it will!!
