Anyone skiing on Christmas Day?

Anyone have any plans?

My daughter and son-in-law will be visiting from NJ, and since the mountain is usually very quiet that morning, we do, indeed, plan to go out. She's an advanced beginner boarder, and he hasn't skied since high school (about 10 years ago; probably only a handful of times then). I'm really looking forward to just being on the snow with them.

After that, I won't ski again til after New Year's. :(

I will be out and skiing, bright and early, 12/25.
:becky:

I'll be visiting family on Long Island for Christmas...not much skiing on Long Island...:(

...I will get so nice long walks on the beach with the nieces & nephew, though

I'll be home, but leaving Boxing Day for Tremblant till after New Years. Gotta be home for a club meeting on the 4th!

I will be skiing Vail on Christmas Eve and Day. I'm so excited as we're expecting major snows all week. :yahoo::yahoo::ski2::ski2:

I plan to be at Tremblant on the 25th. My sister and brother-in-law are here from Nova Scotia and I was able to score free tickets for them - and given that I have a pass, the price will be right! (And I'm kind of hoping that the non-skiers will do something about dinner....)

Knee allowing, I'll be out there! We are getting another dumping for the next few days, so conditions should be great!

I'm also cooking Christmas dinner, so I'm going to need to be up early to cook.

I'm really praying my knee will be okay by then.

Nope. :( I'm going to try to talk my parents into going out to one of the local hills on the 26th. We'll see how successful I am. They did go last year and had a good time, so the odds are maybe 50/50, mostly depending on the weather.

Yes! Yippee, I am looking forward to it.
Followed by a potluck Christmas dinner at the Ski Club. What a nice mellow way to spend Christmas day.

Of course!! Last year Christmas Day was such a beautiful sunny powder day at Highlands. I remember NOT wanting to leave early for the Christmas festivities.

This year I will definitely be out there - Xmas Eve and Day...we have a BIG ONE coming our way and it should be just in time!!:snow::snow:

Christmas Eve day at Crystal Mountain for my family. That should guarantee nice and sleepy kids for Christmas Eve night!

We are in northern Michigan visiting my parents now, but the wind chill here is frigid and I don't like taking the kids out skiing in it. Hubby and I are getting some snowmobiling in so that makes him happy. It is so beautiful out in the woods right now. Fluffy snow every where.

Safe travels and skiing everyone.

Of course!

Normally, we would be out at Crystal, but Schuss Mtn is having free skiing on Christmas day, so we'll be there with a friend instead!

My home mountain is closed on Christmas, and we (and our 5 teenage children) are volunteering at a local soup kitchen from 10-1 serving and helping in the kitchen, so no skiing for us. If the predicted r*$n doesn't create super harpack or continue to fall, we plan to ski on 12/26 and 12/27.
