Anyone planning their trips for next year already?

 I've just been looking around. We usually book Steamboat early as the kids fly free and we get good deals but I'm looking at some other destinations that offer that as well (there are a LOT Of them now!).

We're hoping to go at least 3 times this year (maybe add a time each year until we can finally live in CO). :D

Anyone else getting hungry for the "next season"? I know... for some of you this one's not over yet.

"planning"? "next season"?

As far as "thinking about it", yes. Probably more than just next season!

Often it's like "OK, I love to go to resort x AND y but I dont' have enough vacation time to do both. So let's pick resort y this year because I can visit resort x the following year.". In that vain...

(weekend trips around the northeast don't require "planning". I just go)

This past season, I managed 5 trips outside the Northeast (4 out west and 1 to Europe). Don't think I have that same luxury of time again next year. If I can manage 3, that'll be great. But 2 is what I'm realistically shooting for. (and I already have in my mind 2 trips for the FOLLOWING season!)

As far as booking? Not at all. I can't do that until about Oct!

Not I, unless you count getting my local hill's season pass and considering possibly entertaining the thought of next year's diva gathering.

This hardly needs to be said, but I've already blocked out the first week of March for the Diva Summit next year. :becky:

Other than that, nothing's in the works.

Well we have just purchased season passes for next year, so the only trip planned is me to the Diva Summit. I haven't booked yet, but starting to think about it.

Ooh, is that going to be a yearly trip? Hmm...

We're last minute trip planners. Here's what I'm thinking about right now. Will probably buy the plane tickets 2-3 weeks before each.

1) A long weekend (4-5 days) for the Diva trip
2) A-Basin in May - was thinking Memorial Day again since it was cheap & awesome, but will do Mother's Day if that's going to be a yearly thing
3) Women's Edge camp in Aspen in Jan?
4) The usual trip with the hub & friends, probably Utah

I doubt all 4 will happen, but 2 or 3 definitely will.

Yay 08-09 ski season!! :D

I believe Hart is going to be out there for their Hart Fest Bump competition on that weekend, and it has worked well for me to do a Girl trip mixed in with some bear buddies(5 bears joined us divas, to ski this past trip) and Hart fun.
I'm really a fly by the seat of my pants girl, so nothing is set in stone for me except the Stowe trip as I'm dedicated to help with admin stuff for ESA.

It looks like you plan, kind of like I plan.

When we were out there for mothers day weekend, Michelle Roark showed some interest in having a womens' day clinic(I'm thinking one or two days to keep the cost down)
IF I work with Hart ski to have Michelle Roark do a women's ski clinic, would you be interested in it?

What she said. :becky: Ski Diva and I are even flying to Denver together on Feb. 28!

I'll also be skiing Smuggler's Notch with my girls March 26-28.

That's it for trips for me. Whatever theoretical extra $ I have to ski will help cover lesson fees with my Okemo coach, and my gas to ski 1x week at Okemo and 1-2 x week at my local mountain.

I'm meeting SNWL and Ski Diva at the Denver airport!!! :becky: Whatever other money (and time) I may have left over will be minimal....probably spent on freestyle lessons at my local hill and gas to go skiing in New England.

Got to buy plane ticket and register this week for Crescent's 25th anniversary camp at Steamboat December 6-13th! I'll still be in Vermont for the first two weeks of March since that's all but a free trip. A third trip for next season is $ threatened by gas/plane expenses-hope so..... but..... :ski2:

Looks like my dad has booked a house for March in Taos. So I guess I'll go skiing there. But also am thinking a bit too much about skiing in Stowe, mad river, and Abasin again. Definitely would like to do the Mothers Day Abasin trip again or maybe in November if the early conditions are good.
