Anyone NOT skied yet this season?

Just wondering if there's anyone here who hasn't had a day on the slopes yet. Here in the east, given the crappy conditions, that'd be less than surprising. It's supposed to hit the 50's here in Vermont on Saturday!

As for me, I've had 10 days so far -- so not great, but not awful, either.

I took 2 runs a little too soon after I fell down the stairs and injured my foot a couple weeks ago, can't really call that skiing.

I am supposed to go tomorrow night with my school's group as a chaperone. I hope to ski then. I just got a call that my aunt (mom's twin 84 yrs old) had a heart attack last night. So I will have to play it by ear about tomorrow.

I have skied on January 4th all but 2 years since my very first time skiing in 1966. One year there was no snow and in 1999 when my mom passed away. In 1966, for my 5th birthday, my neighbor (age 16) took me...I was hooked! Each year after that we had a ski date on January 4th until I was about 14 and she got married, by then I was old enough that my parents would drop me off at the little local area alone. Skiing on January 4th has become a tradition.

We're only at 5 days so far this year. Very frustrating. But we leave for 5 days in Utah on Wednesday! Watch out, Solitude/Brighton - here come 2 totally out-of-shape eastern skiers who have only skiied 5 days of slush so far this year! My quads have no idea what they're in for. ;)

Have fun in Tahoe, ISki... I look forward to hearing about it when you get back. We're thinking of planning a trip to Tahoe in March, depending on prices and weather.

I've gotten three days in so far, and that was at ESA Stowe. With the temps predicted to be near the 70s here in the DC Metro area this weekend, I'm not holding my breath that I'll be adding to that total any time soon.

Best wishes to your aunt, teachski.

I've had three times out so far. The first two times were very short, I was only out there for like an hour. I'm glad I went those times though, with this weather you never know when the closer hills are gonna close.

rachelv, I'm planning a trip to Tahoe contingent on price and weather too. Let me know if you see a great deal and I'll do the same.

As of 1/30, we've had 18 days out. The 30th was also my first race for the year. League racing starts tonight at Crystal, and next Wed at Caberfae.
