Anyone going to Ken Jones Demo Day at Waterville Valley?

I have not been to a Ken Jones Demo since they were at Loon where my skiing was covered and the demo was free. Looks like it is $50 for today's demo. Perhaps next year! Looking forward to hearing how the day went.

I ended up not going - I had life things get in the way - my siblings and I just sold the house we grew up in today - lots of conflicting feelings going on! I love demo days so will definitely go next year.

FYI, If you were an Indy Pass holder, the $50 fee was waived.
Good to know. It was always free for me when they held the demo at Loon as that is covered with my Sunday River pass.

I went. Fewer trails were open than last year and conditions were rather icy. The 2 ways down open on skier's left were marbles.
The 2 down the middle were better initially but became scraped off as the morning progressed.

I spent the morning checking out any narrower ski available in a short length. There seemed to be less shorter length skis available than last year.
Best skiis for the day were K2 Disruptions, Atomic Cloud 12 and Vokll Secret 88. The K2 And Atomic handled the conditions with great edge hold and were quick turning. The Voklls were Voklls: solid cruisers on the ice and their weight helped on the marbles.
Also tried Atomic Cloud 14: also quick turning and great edge hold but not pleasant in the marbles.
My least favorite were K2 Mindbenders. I felt they were too soft for the conditions and had to work to engage the edge. Felt like they would be a great ski in softer conditions.

I would have tried a couple more skis, but the conditions were just getting icier and the fun factor was dropping.
