Anyone "fixed" at Boot Fixation?

Living so far from any real bootfitters, I am going to head to Breckenridge--a 12 hour drive-- to see Jeff Bergeron. He's the moderator for bootfitting questions on the Barking Bear Forum.
Have any of you ladies become acquainted with his work? And if so, how did your boots get along with you after the "fix"?

Where do you live? It's always nice to be able to be close to your bootfitter so you can go back in for adjustments.

But that said, there's nothing like someone who really knows what they're doing. I get mine done by Earl at the Sport Loft and he's incredible. Expensive, but I have comfortable ski boots for the first time ever.

He's done two sets of footbeds for me and I took the previous ones out of my ski boots and put them in my bike shoes this week. OMG why didn't I think of that before. It's heavenly! :D

Anyway, some lucky folks can just jump in a stock boot and it fits like it was made for them. Heck, those things have to be made to fit SOMEONE's foot. But many (maybe most) aren't so lucky. And there are very few people out there who really know how to do bootfitting well. If you've had uncomfortable boots in the past, it's worth the time and money to go see someone really good.

It's hard to spend that money - I ended up spending $1200 total on boots, footbeds, etc. They're not sexy like a new pair of skis. But 80+ days of pure comfort last season was totally worth it. When you're traveling to see him, just make sure you go get the boots, then can ski in them and have time to go back for minor adjustments. (Most good bootfitters will be conservative with blowing out/grinding down shells because you can't put it back, so it's better to create more space incrementally.)
