Still looking at schools...:faint: I have a couple weeks to figure out where I am going. In addition to Montana, I am now looking at the Colorado Mountain College, in STEAMBOAT, of all places. Whoever came up with the WONDERFUL idea of putting college campuses in Colorado ski towns....:becky:  :eyebrows: Seriously.

So now I want to know... ALL of the info that you can give me. Atmosphere, local crowd, terrain, how many pairs of fat skis I need to own... Anything about the school maybe?

I love steeps, deeps, trees, but cruising on groomers is just as awesome. It seems like there wont be too much steep stuff at Steamboat? All the tourist reviews that I have read have been not too happy, but all the things that they said were complaints that I doubt any locals would have.... Ski Town, USA.... :becky:

Steamboat is one of my most favorite areas: town & mountain. It is where I want to move to someday...

I could go on & on about the quality of powder, the glades, the tight tree runs in Christmas Tree Bowl, the groomers, the "natural" terrain areas and the backcountry access gates that lead into Fish Creek.

There are hot springs and oodles of hiking & biking & camping. The town is small & intimate w/ great restraunts, bars & shops.

But, if there are negative reviews out there, than that is great! That means less people moving into the area!

Recreation Management and some photography on the side. CMC has a Ski and Snowboard Business major at their Alpine campus in Steamboat. The testimonials of people who went through the program are awesome, and they get some of the best jobs in the business. PLUS the Steamboat/Winter Park/Copper pass.

AND I GET TO LIVE NEAR ALL THE DENVER DIVAS!

Me Too!! It's by far my favorite place to hang out. I love the kicked-back and outdoorsy atmosphere without all the hype, glam, and attitude.

I LOVE Steamboat! What a GREAT town. The people are nice, fabulous eats, beautiful scenery, and the mountain..... what else can I say. If you like nice groomers the back part is fabulous!!!!

I actually just talked my husband into considering a move out there!!
