Does anyone know how Head, Nordica and Salomon boots tend to run as far as width? I mean are any of them more narrow than others overall? I can't seem to find the width measurements for those brands on their websites (I found measuremetns for other companies- just not these). I think I need new boots and I'm trying to decide which shop to go to---one carries Atomic, Head, Dalbello and Tecnica. Another carries Dalbello, Nordica and Tecnica. While the last one carries Dalbello, Lange, Nordica, Rossignol, Salomon and Tecnica.
I'm going to bring my boots into the boot fitter and see if they can do anything with them-- I'm anticipating that they won't be able to-- I think they are too wide (I feel like my foot can move around). I'm currently in a beginner boot- a Dalbello Aspire 50 and in looking at the online specs for this year, assuming they didn't change it from previous years, it's 105mm wide-- which appears to be one of the wider boots on the market for women. I don't have an especially wide foot-- in fact my foot is narrow to medium. I think the reason they put me in them was I was more of beginner when I bought them and they assumed I wanted a comfort fit (I didn't know the difference between performance and comfort at that time). The problem is going to be getting a narrow boot with a low flex index-- it seems the more aggressive boots are narrower, but I'm a relative light weight and a very non aggressive skier.
Thanks.
