An end to the warm weather in the northeast???

Weather models are starting to indicate a (possible) end to this awful streak of spring-like weather in the northeast.

According to Matt Noyes' weather blog (he's the weather guy for New England Cable News:

The pattern for the upcoming couple of weeks - the first half of December - will feature a fast flowing jet stream with numerous disturbances embedded in it, thanks largely to the weak El Nino flow and therefore the steady stream of disturbances racing across the Pacific and through the Western United States. This will mean repeated tugs of cold air at the surface into New England, with plenty of availability to tap additional moisture from the tropical Pacific and Gulf of Mexico if any of these disturbances can grow strong enough, which they'll have a better chance of doing after the first week of December, when Pacific input strengthens even a bit more.

Let's hope he's right!

Oh, stop making me jealous! It's supposed to be in the mid-60s later this week around here. :( This is insane. And I just want to smack one of my coworkers who's glad about this. Even if I didn't ski, it's long past time for winter to set in.

I'm going to break out a skirt and some sandals for tomorrow...who woulda thunk...60+ degrees in Northern Vermont on the last day of November.

I can't believe it will be 60+ around here either! I'll join the snow dance (no sandals though). For here, the forecast is snow next Tuesday...let's hope they have it wrong and it arrives early. We need a big snowstorm (so that I can miss work and............go SKIING!!!)

As per the weather guy at New England Cable News:

Overnight Friday Night: Very windy with downpours and a chance of thunder. Locally damaging winds possible. Wintry mix continues in the North Country, changing to all snow late. Lows dipping into the 30s late. Wind becomes west at 20-30 mph with gusts over 50 mph.

Saturday: Partly cloudy and cool most areas, snow showers in the Northern Mountains. Highs in the lower to middle 40s south, 30s north.

Sunday: Brisk. Gradually increasing clouds with a chance of light rain or snow at night. Highs near 40.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow, especially in Southeastern New England. Highs only in the middle 30s.

In Montreal it's currently freezing rain/sleet:( . Hopefully it will fall as snow in the Laurentians (Mt-Tremblant). They say it might turn to snow tomorrow. I really hope it does because right now it's kind of yucky.

Today should be our last day of 60 degree weather, and we're supposed to be getting some really nasty weather tonight My home area is ready to go, and I expect to walk out my door tomorrow and in the distance, hear snow guns!!!! :D
