Am I NUTS or what????????

OK...some of you read that I just got my new Line Celebrities and absolutel LOVE them. Guaranteed that I will have them for many years.

So, here's what's up.....I found a pair of '05-06 Celebs on Ebay (new in wrapper....pretty much the same ski I have now) for, perhaps, pretty cheap. If I get them for the cheap price I want, I'm thinking of mounting them perhaps 2-3 cm forward and using them as a park ski/ spare pair.

I really like these skis and my current ones are fun on jumps( they are traditionally mounted): ...so I'm thinking that if I mount the other ones a little forward it will be easier to do spins and play around with them, while my newer ones will be more of a mountain ski.

That is to say if I get them for the cheap price I want.

Am I nuts or what???? Does anyone else on this site do goofy things like this? Feedback, please!:loco:

 Join the Nut Club! Have I done it? Yep. On eBay? You bet. Do I regret it? Not for a NY second!! If it's not out of your budget, WHY NOT? I pause when prices are over $500 - then I'm looking for the absolutely right pick. But there are so many good deals on eBay. I've already turned around several pairs that I've bought on ebay, in an effort to reduce my quiver. (never completely works, I always wind up with something as a substitute  )

The nice thing is if you can pinpoint future recipients, i.e., good gear swaps, etc. There's one in my area in November that is a great way for me to turn stuff over. Price determined by seller, with a percentage going to the ski club/local ski hill. I haven't yet had to try selling on ebay, hasn't been necessary.

This is such a good time of season to find the deals, too.
Let us know what you decide!!

I bought my beloved K2 One Luvs on ebay for 190.00. Brand new! No regrets and I LOVE THEM!

You're in the best of the best of NUTS!!!!

WITH bindings???? If so, wow - that was a GREAT deal. No more of those deals for K2 on ebay at this time, I check daily. Shopping now for 08 Dynastar Exclusive Legends to replace the first-year-issue of that model that I sold last year. "The hunt is on!"

OK, I feel better than I'm just one among many nuts!:D If I win the bid at the right price, then they will be mine!

...they are SO pretty!!!.......

I have sold a lot of stuff on eBay...more than I've bought....including a motorcycle, bicycle frame, and yes, a pair of skis. I've done fairly well with auctions. I did buy my latest ski jacket on eBay new at 1/2 price....a DNA camouflage (Yes, CAMOUFLAGE) jacket. It's nice and warm and comfy (and my DH now calls me "Sniper!"):eyebrows:

I do have a pair of skis (K2 Just Cause - like the One Luvs, and a pair of skiboards) to unload.....not sure I'll go the eBay route, or just turn them over to the local ski shop who gives store credits if they sell (this isn't a heavy ski area so no gear swaps, just bicycle swaps).

^^^^ No way, DNA, for real? Best jacket ever, I've got 2!! Not the camo, different model, forgot the name, but after getting the first one 50% off and loving it, I went on a mad hunt to find same jacket in different color. And did!! That brand rocks. Best jacket I ever had for both warmth and breathability - the latter being mega-important for me. Great pit zips, easy to get at w/gloves. Great pockets. Just love my 2.

Yeah, what IS that thing? I kinda thought it was a fish skeleton?? Mine's on the sleeve zip pocket. Does your jacket have a sleeve pocket? I love this jacket. Have never loved a jacket before. Always found some minor (or major) issue. Not this time. The hood even is good over helmets! :yahoo: Though I think most newer jackets are like this. HATE itty bitty, thin hoods. We need gutsy ones where we ski (COLD/WINDY).

As for being a gear head, I thought I had recovered - or at least it had gone into remission for awhile, and then I joined this forum  -- kinda gets ya fired up! Especially when on the disabled short list!! (as Arnold said, "I'll be back" :becky:)

Maybe it IS a fish skeleton....not sure, but it's cute. Yeah, mine has a sleeve pocket, too, and nice warm hood. I love the fact that it's waterproof and breathable (last Friday the snow turned to freezing rain, and the jacket saved me).

I'm glad you're getting fired up! When you're recovered, you'll be raring to go!
