We took this trip about 2 weeks ago but I was too timid to try posting the photos. Here is photo of my daughter, 89 year old mother-in-law, and hubby on Nancy Lake. It was the first ever canoe trip for my mother-in-law.
Our grandaughter took us on a trip to hike the Matanuska Glacier. We are checking out a small stream. We filled our canteens with real glacier water!
As we were hiking at 10PM on the summer soltice, a plane flew over head. ( We nevr saw a "night" until we returned from Alaska)
This is a moulon on the glacier . The moulon runs all the way to the sea.
Wasilla is my family's home town and the start of the great dog sled race.
