A-Basin to leave Epic Pass

As a first-time Epic pass holder, I’m bummed, but I get it. I think it’s entirely possible they will aligh with the Ikon pass though.

We will see...

I highly doubt they'll join Ikon, unless it's one of the limited number of day options since their stated reasoning is to reduce crowds.

I'm pretty sure they'll remain independent. As Robyn said, their primary reason was to reduce crowds... now they may partner with a few days with another ski area... and I hope that ski area is Loveland...

I’m skeptical about their stated reasons! But maybe they mean it.

I seriously doubt they’d partner with Loveland. Why? Both areas offer the same perks so they’re directly in competition. They’re both the high-altitude, early/late season resorts.

It would make more sense to partner with non-front range-adjacent areas, but almost all of those have already affiliated with either Epic or Ikon.

Parking has been a serious issue of late. It's resulted in very frustrated long time customers, grumpy employees, and safety issues with people parking on the highway illegally. I absolutely think their stated reasons are the truth.

Many of the ABasin employees park at Keystone (especially on Sat and Sundays) and then ride the bus up to the Basin. This has caused serious parking problems at Keystone. I think this is a great decision by ABasin.
