80's retro day! in NJ!

This just in from the Mountain Creek e-newsletter....yeah it's in honor of 20 years of snowboarding, but it's really for everyone. This will a real hoot for sure!

"While some may think of snowboarding as a new phenomenon, we here in Jersey know better. This March marks the 20th Anniversary of shredding at Creek and we’re throwing a huge celebration on Saturday March 1st! So dig out that day-glo suit or retro board to get in on the fun. We’ll be watching and giving away great prizes for the best looks! Be sure to hit the South Lodge to check out the flashback to the 80s exhibit, and meet us on the hill at 1pm for the Vintage Halfpipe competition. Dig out those vintage decks or cruise Ebay to really get into the spirit, there will be prizes and giveaways throughout the day."

I'll be there in my Roffe rainbow striped stretch pants, and just perhaps, I'll bring my old straight skis for a quick run!

DH and I still have 2 pairs of old straight skis. If there's ever a retro day around here, I'd be tempted to at least take 'em along for a run. Mine are (of course) old Dynastar slalom something, 190, his are Rossi 7SK 197. They were sooooooo long. But you know what? We had a blast on them at the time.

I've been trying to snare an old Bogner one piece on eBay for ages! Either there are other retro shoppers out there, or these things really are still popular?? Still hunting. Now if I could only find some rear entry boots!
