2025 Blizzard Phoenix R13 Ti

I have been researching this ski for awhile now - including the ski talk review and talking to Blizzard at the Boston ski show. Powder7 has a lightly used pair w/ Marker TP11 Light GW demo bindings for $351.00 plus tax and shipping so roughly $400.00 total

I am 5' 2" and very much a plus size skier. I am a strictly East Coast and a groomer skier. I have always been partial to skinnier skis - "widest" ski is an 88. These are 162 - I typically ski 158 - 160 - and 72 under foot. I think with tip and tail rocker I shouldn't have a problem with the length. I do not have grip walk boots but I hope to be investing in new boots in the fall.

Typically reviews do not cover heavier skiers so I don't want something that may end up too light for me. I know these have metal and I have had skis with metal in them in the past - K2 and Volkl.

Thoughts, please.

This is a unisex skis, isn't it. You shouldn't have any issues. My new Rossi Forza's are 162 as well. I'm actually worried about the binding DIN settings. I'm right at the bottom.

I have demo'd these twice, and LOVE them for icy (or powder) groomers. If I was going to have more than 1 pair of skis, these would definitely be my second. I tried both the 156 and 162, and preferred the 156, but could ski fine on the 162. I'm 5'3", and not lightweight.

I've skied this and yes, a very fun ski. Possibly the next one I buy. And I think it's a women's ski. Isn't it 76 underfoot?

Thank you for the input. I ordered them. I think I will enjoy them a lot given my preference for skinny skis.
@Jilly - the men's version is the Thunderbird. I did look at them but I don't think they went short enough.

@ski diva - There seems to be 2 versions of this ski - the R13 Ti and the R13 Ti S - The S version is the 76, I believe. I zoomed in on the photo on Powder 7 and the ones I got are definitely labeled 72 and R13 Ti.

Thanks again everyone.

Congrats on your new skis @Divegirl...72 is on the skinnier side--and so so fun!
Thank you! In the way far past I have skied a 69, 70 and 74. I still have the 74s wanted to get them back out but they are just too heavy with 2 full sheets of metal and at least 8 yrs old - so I went shopping. They were fun!
