Question: 2 bindings, 2 pairs of flat skis...

Hey all! I could use some opinions. I'll try to keep this explanation short...

Back in November, I bought a pair of K2 MissDemeanors (80 waist). I finally decided to buy a pair of Rossi Axium 110 pro bindings to mount on them. They were supposed to have an 80 brake. I got them in the mail and noticed the brake was wide; measured it, and it's 100mm.

Fast forward to yesterday: Bought a pair of Auras (94 waist) and a pair of Salomon Z10 TI bindings to go on them. The brake on the Sollys is 90, so would have to be bent out to fit the Auras.

Here are my options:

1) Mount Rossis on MDs and Sollys on Auras as planned.

2) Return Rossis for the correct brake size, then mount Rossis on MDs and Sollys on Auras as planned.

3) Sawp 'em: Mount Sollys on MDs and Rossis on Auras.

Aaaaand I have no clue what to do. I don't know enough about the bindings to know if one or the other is better for a certain ski. Will the 100 brake affect performance on an 80-waist ski?

Can anyone help? I'd appreciate it bunches! :becky:

JMHO; if you're using the MD for park/pipe/hucking, you'll want the extra elasticity inherent in the Rossi binding for that. Plus the light weight of the z10 seems to compliment the Aura perfectly. I'd just get the correct brake size for the Rossi and mount as intended. Although, as far as I no, there's no real problem with having a wider brake (though it seems that 20mm extra is excessive and could become a problem since they will hang probably hang over the ski width even when retracted).

I have the 90 brakes on my 94 Auras, and it's not a problem. Sometimes it's hard to disconnect them after they're together, but instead of pulling them apart, just use a finger to push the brakes and they'll come open.

(Did that make ANY sense??)
