1st Time Skier attempts Black Diamond after 3 days on skis

Since I watch a decent amount of skiing videos on YouTube, they seem to think I would like this video. It had the click-bait title of: "I Trained Like a Professional Skier". I was like, "Oh ok, what did that entail?" , and was sent on a roller-coaster of emotions. From annoyance at the ad for Greyhound buses in the beginning to dismay at watching this girl who has never been on skis terrify herself. Even though I felt kind of bad for her, I'll admit that I'm a bad person and laughed at her pain:tongue:. Now, I've never watched any of this person's other YouTube videos, but it seems like she does different activities for likes and views. I wonder if she's ever going to get on skis again...

Warning: Long, start the video at 1:20 to avoid the Greyhound plug unless you want to know about all the new features of Greyhound buses.

An aggressive goal for sure, but I loved how she realized it wasn't just physical, but mental as well.
She did fantastic, and I hope she keeps with it!

This was really interesting. I expected to hate it (I'm not fond of fear and out-of-control skiing!). And when she progressed so quickly and went on the blue and black trails, it was frightening to watch. That out-of-control skiing was all too familiar. It was last year, but it seems like yesterday.

After a fall, she regrouped, and skied the less-steep portion on the black trail. Decent beginner skiing, in control, and clearly having fun. I can do that! In fact, I ski better than that! So I could enjoy watching her. She's a courageous young woman. I agree; I think she may take up skiing. Hope so!

I looked her up and she’s definitely a serious athlete... she won the Under 23 division of the National Criterium (which Wikipedia tells me is an important bike race) in 2014! Good for her!
