Anyone have any insight into what Elan's going to be offering in its women's line next year? What about you, Elangirl?

If this link works, it should be a power point presentation of the 08 Elan line up.

Sorry, its a power point presentation. If you don't have power point on your computer, you won't be able to open it.

I don't know anything yet but I am going to be able to Demo a lot of the 2008 skis on March 8th!! One of my local ski shops is having a big Demo Day at, as luck would have it, my ski area!! My husband is taking the day off from work and we are going to try as many pairs as we can. The list includes Elan, K2, Volkl, Fischer, Head, Atomic, Dynastar, Goode, Salomon, Blizzard, and Nordica. It should be a fun day. I will report back.

Sidecut:
tip/waist/tail

When the waist of a ski is narrow in relation to the tip and/or tail, the turning radius will be shorter. The twin tips and/or skis that are wider under waist and have less "side cut" are more likely to have a longer turn radius.

For instance, the 07 speed Magic has a side cut of 123/73/04 with a turn radius of 12.6 Meters in the 160 cm length.
If you were to take that same ski in the 152 cm length, the radius changes to 11.2.
The law of physics will change the length of the carve with the length of the ski, and the side cut.

The 777 has a side cut of 117/87/107 with a turn radius of 23 Meters. Better be prepared to get it over on edge and rail it, because these are close to being a freight train.

Hope this helps. Maybe I didn't understand the side cut question, but this is what popped into my mind.
