Ski jacket/pants for petite female

newboots

Angel Diva
I'm 5'1" and ski most every weekday in Vermont, where it can be very, very cold and damp. I have a pair of kids pants from Sunice that works great for me. Very reasonably priced, too.

I worked in a shop that carried those pants and I wanted some so badly. (I am not kids' size.) And they look great on her!

I'm 5'1" and 100 lbs. I recommend trying Kari Traa. They are a women's line women's clothing based in Sweden. I mostly have their base layer, fitness and outdoor line. Their size XS, S work well for me in sleeve and pant length. Currently they are having a winter sale with some very good prices. https://www.karitraa.com/en-us/voss-ski-pant/622717.html?dwvar_622717_color=ASH&cgid=109648 Unfortunately, it looks like the ski jackets are sold out. Local or online shops may carry the line. Shipping is pretty fast. I placed an order on Monday and it is due to arrive on Friday.

I now have 4 Kari Traa tops that I love in both XS and Small. Both sizes fit !

I am not sure if you've tried them already, but Spyder does go to a size 0 in some of their styles and usually has belt loops. I was actually looking at these a while ago, and I think evo is pretty good about their returns.

Spyder, Volcom and The North Face also do gore-tex pants in youth/child sizes. My hips are now too big for kids' sizes so although I've definitely gone down the route of insulated children's pants in the past, I find that things that fit over my hips are huge on my waist and prefer the shape of women-specific pants. Volcom also do an XXS but mostly for resort pants - I know someone who is close to your size (5' and 100lb) and I believe she has the Frochickie in XXS.

Unfortunately I don't have a good solution for you in terms of length - I sew so have not been averse to chopping into uninsulated garments to shorten them where it suits me, especially since I figure that that all the fancy seam taping/waterproofing etc is less relevant on the part of the pant that sits over my boot and if a waistband is a bit big, a couple of tucks in it when it's sitting under my jacket aren't the end of the world.

Re: fashion pants...I have these cordova ones!! I had gotten a ski bib when they still made them (but they have regular pants too) https://cordova.co
they have petite sizing, described as “for women 5’4” and under). I’m 4’11” ~95lb and they do bunch up a bit BUT overall I think they’re pretty cute (white ski bib in photo below!)

Also, Mackage (https://www.mackage.com/us/en/elle-down-ski-suit-with-removable-hood-and-blue-fox-fur-/ELLE.html) told me they have professional tailors who will alter for you. So, you could buy, tell them how it fits, send back for alterations, and then get them fitted just for you!!

Jackets: these were cropped and fit pretty cute (https://www.perfectmoment.com/us/womens-polar-flare-jacket-houndstooth). In photo below!

I’m currently looking into this French heritage brand but not sure length will fit will keep the thread updated!! https://www.fusalp.com/en/1450-women-ski

I’m very invested in this topic of fashionable petite skiwear so glad this thread exists!C4DD0503-C535-4987-8A1D-DC898C7714FE.jpeg

I've also had success with Patagonia kids. Just bought these pants on end-of-season clearance (they're the girl's Snow Belle in an XXL). They're a bit long, so I'll have to take them up. Otherwise, they fit fine:

Very stylish! The brands you linked remind me of the outfits you see around Chamonix - very fashionable, and very chic.

Fusalp is a great brand! Especially if you're interested in fashion. They just did a collab with Chloe. It's pricey for sure, but super cute. Choe actually did a collab with Moonboots too. They're knit/shearling with leather. Not sure if I'd invest in those since a leather snow boot sound like a bad idea (the tan leather would be trashed when they get wet).

I am 5' tall. I understand the struggle with finding ski pants. I just ordered the Snow Crew pants from Outdoor research and the have a "short" length. I have not tried it on with my ski boots, but the length is not dragging under my feet in bare feet, hits right below my ankle. I can't really comment on the fit elsewhere, as my body type definitely won't fit children's, I am way too fat. BUT length-wise, they are great, and for my body type, they fit nicely everywhere else too.

Wow - Good for O.R.! Only $199 and in sizes from XS - XXXL! Finally.
