Hi, newbie to forums here, glad to be part of this group.
I'm a newly advanced skier wanting to upgrade my kit, and I'm looking at the Head Total Joys. But I could really use some advice about what model to buy.
I accidentally demo'ed the 2019-20 models in December (they're what I just happened to rent) and I loved them! However, I've been looking at the 2018-19 models for sale, and they're about half the $700-900 price of the new models (including bindings). I had a really hard time finding info, even on the Head website, about what's different between the models -- the Karuba wood core seems to be the main thing, and I don't know much about how much difference something like that can make.
Has anyone comparison-skied the 2019s (or earlier) and the 2020s? Or have enough understanding of skis to enlighten me about the differences? Hoping for any Diva wisdom y'all can share.
