Skiing is easier ....

I washed and waterproofed all my jackets and ski pants. My skis are put away and I have mostly sorted everything else out. So today I started on a project I hoped would magically go away on my sailboat. Apparently there was some reaction to electricity near my boat which bubbled some of the paint on the keel. I figured I could at least start the repair. 40°, windy and I was sitting in a Tyvek suit with a dust mask and a sander. I need to become independently wealthy so I can pay other people to do all these nasty jobs! There is more on the other side too.

You’re a much hardier soul than me. I have outdoor work waiting for me, but all I did in the sunshine today is pick up sticks for kindling.

Actually, the Tyvek is pretty warm. Good thing too! It really wasn’t too bad when I could be in the sun. Being close to the ground while I was working helps as well. But I really would have rather it were 65 as it was on Sunday!

I am amused at those of us who go out and ski at subzero temperatures but are cold at 40 doing less interesting things!
