I've been doing some research on R e n o u n s. Do they make a ski shorter than 157? I'm 5 2". I wonder if that length would work for me. Thanks for your thoughts and advice!

I'm 5'0" and overweight. I ski a Volkl Kenja 156. I will never go shorter than that.

I haven't demo'd the Renowns yet, so I don't know specifically, but in general, when you take tip and tail rocker into account, the ski is much less contact with the snow.

If I were you, I wouldn't buy skis until I had demo'd a few different ones. When you fly down the hill with a smile on your face, you know you have found the right ski.

Babette,. I am also 5'2 and have the Z77 Renoun @ 157. That is the shortest length made by Renoun.

I would not be comfortable on a ski any longer than that, rockered or not. This ski works quite well for me on groomed hardpack. It would not be at all good at my size ( 94 pounds) for much else. If I am staying forward consistently the ski is great. When I'm off, no matter what ski I may be on, control is inefficient and I have to work a lot harder!!

At the end of last season I did purchase a ski in a 150 /84 waist, to make my skiing on terrain with variabilities easier. It's been a long time since I have used such a short ski, but I thoroughly enjoy it. Hopefully in the coming season my using these skis will allow me to progress to a point where I will notice better technique, which I can employ with minimal effort to my other skis... especially the longer Renoun.
