Running support and motivation?

I started running at the age of 57.5. Now, 2 1/2 years later I've done 4 half marathons and am registered for 2 more in 2017. That's the year I turn 60 and I'm contemplating calling it my farewell tour, but my husband isn't convinced.

I found a group of women online who are very supportive. FellowFlowers.com It's kind of touchy-feely, but they've been very helpful in my journey. I'm an 11:30 minute mile runner. My last half marathon was 2:39:33 which isn't bad for someone my age.

That is awesome! Congrats and welcome to the forum!!!

Argh! I'm motivated and want to keep running, but my 2nd neuroma is flaring up again. I'm back on a 3-shot round of sclerosing alcohol again. It's killing me!! At least I seem to be able to cram that foot into a ski boot with no issues (for now).

@volklgirl - that sounds frustrating. Besides skiing, are there other conditioning activities that you can do while you heal?

I've been spending time on the Skier's Edge, and dragging myself onto our spin bike. God, I hate that thing - I get SO bored, even with the TV on.
