Default BARBIE Skis?!!

Yep, Mattel, the manufacturer of Barbie dolls, is partnering with Elan to make skis for young girls, in pink (of course) with graphics of flowers and butterflies.

As much as it makes me twinge, I bet my daughter would've LOVED these when she was little.

Hey, if it gets 'em skiing, I'm for it.

Maybe there will be a Barbie ski lodge, to go with the Barbie Dream House? It would be a good place for those trysts my sister and I used to set up for Ken and Barbie, once we were getting a little too old for doll games.

. . . Ken is sitting by the fire in a Dale of Norway sweater, leg in a cast from his spectacular crash on the Skipper (TM) glacier earlier in the day. Barbie comes in looking for hot chocolate, in her head-to-toe pink ski suit and *Abominable Snowman* white fur boots, and falls head-over-heels for the *new* Ken.

Barbie skiing.
It's got potential.

First of all, I think anything that will get a girl interested in skiing at a young age is a plus.

I am sure that a girl who finds the SkiDiva in her will soon pick a ski based on performance and not he Barbie Design

How many moms would buy this for thier little girl?

I would If I were a mom.

OMG, You have got to have pics!
Please dish!

Lola shared pics with me of Phils adventurous fashion, which I shared on EpicSki. IF they make a debute on Ski Diva, it should be Lola's Honor.

(psst, I might even share the photo hosting links with her if she'd like);)
