Hey Gals!
I posted a short chapter excerpt over on Epicski. Take a look, and tell me what you think!

Really impressive, Lisamarie! Great explanations and very informative. I thought your comparision to an orchestra was excellent; also the part about snowprioception (I sense the advent of a new buzz word!).

I particularly like the last part -- how important it is to remember the element of fun! I think people sometimes take the whole business too seriously. After all, if you're not having fun, what's the point?

Wow! Lisamarie, this is excellent! You have a great writing style that is informative and fun to read. I love analogies like you used since it makes it easier for me to really understand the underlying concept. I can tell that this book is going to be a must have. When will it be published?

The book will hit the bookstores in January, but it is currently available for pre-sales on Amazon. I suspect that they will have it ready by December. There are a few edits to be made. For example, I didn't realize that my editor had changed the spelling of Bode to Bodie. Once we get those fixed, we will be good to go.

I have not posted any Amazon links on message boards, because the forum owners only get affiliate link credit if they use a specific code. SSH is working on the code for Epic. Ski Diva, if you are an Amazon affiliate, please feel free to put in your own code.

That's a great idea, Lisamarie! I'm going to check that out. Thanks!

So, will you sign our copy if we send it to you with return postage. I mean, just for us Divas?

It's Open Your Heart With Winter Fitness: Mastering Life Through Love of the Slopes.
It's a bit of a mouthful, but the publisher is somewhat New Age!;) And yeas, I'd be happy to autograph Diva Books!

Hey, everyone --

If you decide to order Lisa's book through Amazon, you can do so by following the link on our Links page (you can get to this this by clicking on "Links" at the bottom of the page). In addition to getting a great book, you'll be helping support our site.

I've just finished the first 1/2 of Lisa Marie's book. This book should be required reading for all ski instructors. She explains things in simple terms that can be relayed to a student. Our instructor manuals don't even go into this much details or express it in a way that can be understood by non medical students. Her version is so much better. The second 1/2 of the book is exercises. I'll get into that after I read Finn. (I'm doing too much now with Dragon Boat and the gym. But Dragon boat doesn't last after Sept.!)

I also bought Lisamarie's book...I ordered it from Amazon (before I knew about SkiDiva) based on the title of the book..which I love. I would agree that it really goes into a lot of depth! Another great addition to my collection.

I just ordered Lisa's book, too, through Amazon. Looks great! I can't wait to dive into it.
