how many of you use the stock liners in your ski boots? I just purchased lange lv...and the liner runs small..granted it isn't packed out like my previous langes...so curious what others do when it comes to the liners

I use Intuition liners for warmth and comfort. I originally got them for my Dalbello Krypton Storms a few years ago - they came with an Intuition, but my fitter put a backcountry Intuition liner in because it was shorter (easier fit for my calves). Then I bought Technica boots with supposedly fantastic liners, but my toes froze, even on mild days - so I put the Intuition liner in there, and my ski days instantly improved.

So, for me, it's about the warmth.

I bought new boots in March. Plan to use the stock liners for a season or two before moving over the Intuition liners from the previous pair. For those, I also used the stock liners for a couple seasons to start with.

Intuition liners definitely are good for warmth because there is more room for toes. But I don't ski that much in frigid conditions so it's not that big a deal. I can make do with Boot Gloves for a while.

I have the lange rx lv boots with about 65 days on them. The liners seemed to be packing out quickly right after I got them last November so I was worried I would need new liners but they stopped changing by January and have been comfortable ever since. I did have the top buckles moved to the tighter holes also. I was planning on replacing them with zip fits or intuition liners when it became a problem and I still have that plan but it doesn't seem so imminent anymore.

Doesn't @contesstant swear by swear by her zip fits also?

well. i just changed out my old liners (with cork beds and hotronics) into new shell...this may be a short term solution since no one in florida carries alternate liners...once i get to JH I'm sure i will shop around ;)

No choice but the stock liners...No one around has anything different either. And I can't say I've ever had a problem with the stock liners.

My ski buddy got Intuitions at a shop in JH. But the first tech didn't do them correctly. He had to go back and get them re-molded after a day of skiing. I got mine at the Alta Lodge Powder House. Didn't know then that Freestyle in Charlottesville handles Intuition liners.

Hi Julie!

I've been happy with the stock liners in my Langes. That said - I have a pair of unused zipfits that are probably just the right size!

Send me a message if you're interested in trying them out.

Zifpits are very excellent for two things: 1.) taking up space... I had no wiggle at all with my Zipfit liners and 2.) They're not stiff like aftermarket Intuition liners... very padded and cushy.

That being said, the two negatives I had were that they put me too far forward b/c of the thickness behind the calf (and I have chicken legs... skinny calves) and they do increase the stiffness of the boot overall due to the stiffness of the liner. They're very cushy and padded, don't feel stiff, but they do increase overall stiffness, which is an issue for me b/c I'm a featherweight.

My feet are stupid low volume. Dieter has a fancy new thing that measures the width of your foot in mm. My feet are 93 mm in width.

Intuitions all the way... Took care of my heel not staying in place in my Technica's.
