Sit skiing and more after paralysis in Australia

My husband lost his legs in Iraq and skis in a mono ski (sit ski). I have skied quite a bit with other disabled skiers so hand a good amount of knowledge about it. After watching the video I'm wondering why she isn't using outriggers (the poles with skis on the bottom) and skiing on her own. If she can use a manual wheelchair she should be able to be more independent on the snow than it shows in the video. Maybe she is newly injured and working on learning.

I see she is an adventurer. I would have been too scared to go on that ride! The skier is pretty amazing!
