How Many Have YOU Done?

So the new SKI Magazine resort guide came in the mail today, and I had to do "the count." This might have stirred provocative thoughts thirty or forty years ago, but now, at age 58, counting ski areas is much more interesting. Remembering who I was with is secondary, indeed, if it is even possible.

Out west, out of the 30 listings I've skied ALL but four (Whitefish, Mammoth, Snowbasin, & Brighton).

I'm a slacker in the east even though I consider New England my first home. In the list of 20 resorts, I've only skied Stowe, Jay Peak, Loon, Whiteface, Wildcat, and Cannon.

How many have you done?

When we went to Squaw, Alpine wasn't part of it. So that really should be 2. Interesting that A-Basin didn't make the list. Guess it isn't considered a "destination resort" like the rest of the lists.

7/15, interesting that Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, and Snowmass are counted separately

12/20 but mostly only one day in early or late season

Didn't count about a couple hours at Park City in the afternoon when it was possible to get a free lift ticket on the day of arrival at SLC airport.

Being an east coast skier who moved west I'm not surprised I have a lot of these covered.

Looks like I'm a slacker: Best in the East - Only 6 of 20

Never been skiing out west. We'll probably go in a year or 2 when the littlest guy can hang with us on hard terrain all day and not turn into a monster!
