    Volkl Aura 2012 and later

Hah. Yeah, I have started dropping in from time to time again recently. :)

2015 Volkl Aura & The One

Huh. This is all very confusing re: what seemed like a pretty good line-up. I am not sure what it all means! :noidea:

    What does a Diva drive?

Yep. I trusted both my Audi and my Subie. (And my understanding of things like engine braking and proper car spacing on mountain roads....) :becky:

    Volkl Aura 2012 and later

I am thinking current model, not 14/15 to replace my really old ones. I am all about a sale ski in the off-season! I love them for their ability to blast through crud + decent float for someone my size, but I have found 156 to be pretty good crossover to bumps, etc. I have a feeling I would like...

    Volkl Aura 2012 and later

Am I crazy to look at 156 Aura again, even with the rockered tip? At just barely 5'2" and somewhere in the 115lbs range, I found the old 156 really fun for me in most conditions over the last several years. Sometimes a wee bit short at speed and in steeper, wide open spots, but surprisingly easy...

    What does a Diva drive?

Guess I need to update my cars. :) We had two Acura MDX's in a row, and they worked super well for us and the kids and all the gear. BIG backseat, which is awesome for picking up hitchhikers on Loveland or Berthoud and cramming them in between your two kids in booster seats. :) Now that we are...

Another gear question-- for tele folks

Lots of good info on this thread. I sorta *dropped out* due to sick kids and the fact that the ankle I re-sprained in Feb is still bugging me and I think I need to go to the ortho. It depresses me, and I am avoiding thinking about the fact that there might be a possible missed running/hiking or...

    So.....how do you carry yours?

    EXACTLY!

Another gear question-- for tele folks

I have been fantasizing about ski gear and skiing. It's what has gotten me through the festival of barfing children this last week!

Another gear question-- for tele folks

Yeah, this is going to be an adventure of trial and error, I think, especially since I am trying to do it on the cheap. Thanks everyone for your thoughts!

    Awesome. Thank you!

Another gear question-- for tele folks

I am trying to find a way to ski more often in NC next season (most of my clothing and equipment lives in a gear closet in CO and I am spoiled rotten after skiing Tahoe, Banff, and CO for the last 16+ years), and I think my plan is to finally really learn telemark. I have alpine skied...

    Self-indulgent whine

I have the ankle sprain issue, too, and I feel your pain. I am, in fact, nursing one now. Rolled it pretty badly (for the umpteenth time) out running a week before leaving for Aspen. Babied it, and then, when it fit in my ski boot, skied anyway. It's still bugging me more than two weeks later...

Yes, you can be an Angel Diva

Done. Thought I should chip in, since I *came back* to the fold to torture myself, now that there's no skiing in my backyard. :becky:

    Volkl Aura 2012 and later

I have heard from a couple people that they are pretty unforgiving, but these weren't people skiing Auras, they were on softer skis. Are they similar, or likable by people who have loved the Auras?

    Self-indulgent whine

I have very low-volume, narrow, bony feet and pretty much nothing in the tech boot category fits off the shelf, so I have a TERRIBLE history with blisters. They are awful. People don't understand how much, until they have ripped a heel to shreds backpacking or snowshoeing or what have you and...

    Volkl Aura 2012 and later

I am just going to pretend that I haven't been missing from here for a very long time (only lurking and seeing folks on FB) and pop back in with a question... I have been avoiding buying new ski equipment because, well, life got in the way. We no longer live in CO (sob!) and have been dealing...

    Sunglasses

Love Zeal (my two pairs of goggles are Zeal polarized and I LOVE the lenses), but the above are the sunglasses I want for running, although I haven't decided on which frame/lens combo I want. Where did you try them on? I want to try them in person before I *make* DH buy them for me for my...
