Hilarious.

"In Womanhattan, everyone gets a seat on the subway. If there are more people on a train car than open seats, we take turns."

^ This one reminds me of my heli trip. The group I was skiing with was 5 women, and we were standing at the top of this totally pristine powder run, all asking each other who would like to go first. "Have you gone first yet?" "I feel like I've gone first a lot." "No no, why don't YOU go first this time?" It was a little surreal.

One of my other favorite McSweeney's lists:

In all honesty this little piece is kind of insulting. With the run of several threads on this website where women are continuing to comment about the way women are ______________(insert any sort of discrimination or put- down) , I find this humor to be just as generalized .

Yes, it's very one-sided and exaggerated. To me, though, after generations (centuries? milennia?) of women have experienced lower status and sexual harassment, it's fine to glory in this cultural shift where suddenly it's not okay to treat women as your toys. I'm definitely soaking up the outrage and sarcasm and joy.

“In Womanhattan, karaoke bars found with Journey, Sublime or Weezer in their music libraries will be fined.”

This made me laugh so hard. I absolutely love Weezer, but I’ve seen them in concert a few times and it’s always me and a few hundred men who were young in the 1990s singing along.
