Wear them ALL the time, all summer, all temps. Have short sleeve, long sleeve, capri length, bermuda length. It's all gone mainstream now, so deals are available, and unless you plan to punish yours, don't worry about spending Big dollars.

I went with the size chart and I would say that it fits like a normal fitted shirt, as opposed to a compression shirt. If you want it tighter I would size down. And just as a side note the Dakine ones that I have bit more like compression shirts.

I ended up with a couple of dive skins for our snorkeling trips. It might be considered overkill but I really appreciated the slight extra warmth for longer swims and having absolutely nothing exposed to the sun. I brought rash guards but always ended up opting for the dive skins for snorkeling.
